Unique Homes & ADUs

This custom tiny house was built from the trailer up to be the most eco-friendly home possible.  Designed and built to Passive House standards with 100% Living Building Challenge certified materials, this luxurious mobile home leaves behind almost no carbon footprint.

For this project we milled local trees for siding and countertops, installed composting and greywater irrigation management systems, used 100% organic, formaldehyde free insulation, and used solar power to heat the radiant bamboo floors.

Design & Remodels

This wide open kitchen remodel started as two rooms, a dining room and small galley kitchen.  Working closely with our client we envisioned an open family community kitchen and combined the two rooms into one.

Even classics can use a few touch ups from time to time.  The architecture of this room was preserved while we implemented a new interior design layout to provide a calm, open living room focused on quiet time and togetherness.

Custom fabrication

We are constantly fascinated with the built world.  Custom furniture and art is our tightest connection to physical space.  The following projects were built 100% in our shop by seasoned carpenters and makers.

CNC Work

Our 5’x15’ 3 axis CNC machine can help you get your custom job done faster.  With a 10hp spindle and vacuum table, we can cut wood, acrylic, composites, aluminum and fabricate entire cabinet systems from scratch.

“My passion for design can be traced back to the days I could barely walk, whether it was Legos, K’nex, Erector Sets, I was tinkering with it.  The bigger I got, the bigger ideas and inspiration I got, following iconic designers like Zaha Hadid, Mies Van der Rohe, and Frank Lloyd Wright.

I studied architecture at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and began my career as an intern and junior designer at Gensler in San Francisco, later working at SITU Studio in New York City.

My projects have included collaboration on a future-focused 22 acre community space in Portola Valley, an eco-minded off-grid tiny home built with 100% organic insulation, and various remodels around the Bay.

In my free time you can usually find me in my fabrication shop tinkering around with the CNC Router, making furniture, or trying to reorganize for the 100th time (I promise I am on the verge of systematic perfection!).  You might also find me on the road in my camper van with my wonderful wife Cory and our dog Rufio, volunteering on a Burning Man art project, or trying hard not to drown at my newest favorite hobby, surfing.”
